Uno up north

Uno was fascinated by the outdoor view

the tree that blocked our way

The last photo is of a tree that blew over in a very quick severe storm. We were headed back to the cabin from Grand Marais. We had to turn around on a very narrow road only to find that another tree had blown over the road behind us. We were trapped but while we were contacting help, someone came and moved the second tree that then allowed us to leave safely.

I was sure I was going to capture Uno looking half-way content. She just can't keep a non-grumpy face though I think this is pretty neutral for her.

A slight modification and an hour in the sun

A slight modification to the trashcan hang out. Turn over and just stick one's head in.

Gorgeous sunshine. Uno loves the sun. Back porch sunshine time.

Why go all the way up the stairs

Uno says "why go all the way up stairs when half way is just as good".

I think what she is really saying is, "I want to see you on the sofa, daddy, but not be too close because then you would think I liked you".

Well, Miss Uno, daddy loves you no matter where you decide to take a rest.

Frankie and Uno

Frankie and Uno are still sticking in there.

Frankie has made the upstairs bathroom sink his latest hang out place. I thought it was because the cold porcelain felt good but now I am not sure.

Uno has never had one place. She parks herself wherever and whenever she wants. And she still loves the Nature show on PBS.

Brother and sister

Couldn't resist taking a photo with Frankie and Uno together. They don't hang out together very often. Of course, they were waiting for their evening treats.

Happy Birthday, Miss Uno

Papa almost forgot to publicly wish my baby girl a happy birthday.
She may not be vey loving but she is my little cutie. Daddy loves you.

Uno's favorite tv program

Uno loves Nature on PBS. These snow monkeys seem to have struck a nerve.

A new box

We got a new cardboard box! It is a pretty big one. Frankie is able to jump into it while Uno couldn't so she just grabbed the edge,  tipped it over and walked right in. It was so funny watching her quickly figure out a simple solution to her dilemma.

Frankie still gets to enjoy the box by being on top while his sister is cozy inside.

Not so grumpy?

Uno got groomed last week and I think she doesn't look so grumpy...or it may just be a trick of the light.

Each to their own box

Finally Uno took possession of her own box.

Crazy cat lady (and I am not referring to me)

This year's Christmas gift from Mom is these Christmas cat decorations. For those of you that know Frankie and Uno, you will recognize which is which.

So adorable but I think Frankie and Uno's grandma is the crazy cat lady without a cat. Ha!

Frankie and Uno Updates

 Mr. Frankie has regained weight. When I weighed him on Monday, he was back to 9 lbs and there haven't been throwing up incidents.

Frankie has also been running around the house more than in the recent past. He is still licking the inside of the freezer which continues to make him eat more.

Miss Uno got a long-delayed grooming on Friday. This photo does not reflect the cleanup but does demonstrate her continued grumpy attitude.

Daddy tried the grooming but gave up to the growling and irritation.

Frankie (and Uno) update

Frankie jumped up on the newl post for the first time in a long time. He's also been running around. After a bad few days after I got back from Spring Green, Frankie is doing well.

Frankie and Uno were very upset when I came home last Sunday after a weekend away. With their automated feeder, the two have always been fine with my being away for a few days. Apparently those days are over.

It looked like neither of them ate while I was out. And when I got home, they were both very upset and wouldn't even eat treats.

That has passed and both are eating well. Uno has even been playing and spent a couple of nights in my bedroom with me.

Relaxing outside together

After an afternoon thunder shower, the sun came out and so did Frankie and Uno. The two of them are spending more time together.

 

Frankie may not be hearing and seeing as well as he used to. And may be Uno is wanting to keep him company.
