A slight modification and an hour in the sun

A slight modification to the trashcan hang out. Turn over and just stick one's head in.

Gorgeous sunshine. Uno loves the sun. Back porch sunshine time.

Oh, Mr. Man

This started yesterday as far as I can tell. Though the flipped over trashcan may now have an explanation.

I did take him out but he just jumped right back in.

In this photo you can actually tell what is in the trash. When he is asleep, he is so curled up you don't know where his head or tail or whatever is.

And yes, there is trash in the trash can.

And now another unconventional hangout

Well, the bed hangout didn't last very long.

Frankie has now chosen the nightstand. All my efforts to discourage this location have been useless.

A more conventional hang out spot

Frankie has finally left the bathroom sink hang out form the foot of the bed. He even sleeps there overnight with me.

And on papa's sleeping underwear.

Frankie and Uno

Frankie and Uno are still sticking in there.

Frankie has made the upstairs bathroom sink his latest hang out place. I thought it was because the cold porcelain felt good but now I am not sure.

Uno has never had one place. She parks herself wherever and whenever she wants. And she still loves the Nature show on PBS.

Frankie therapy

I think Frankie is having some discomfort from arthritis.

He spends part of the day in the upstairs bathroom sink or the top of the toilet tank. He spends the other part of the day on the heated bathroom floor.

It is his version of hot and cold therapy.

Mountain lion?

I think Frankie was exploring is inner mountain lion.

Backyard...flora and fauna

I know I shouldn't let Frankie go outside. He doesn't always stay in the yard but he really loves being out doors even though all he does is mostly sleep.

This has been my most successful planting in the fish. The two pink colors are almost an exact match. The cascading plant has been blooming all the time. The other plant, an African daisy, took a break but is now blooming again.

Brother and sister

Couldn't resist taking a photo with Frankie and Uno together. They don't hang out together very often. Of course, they were waiting for their evening treats.

My Frankie (an update)

Frankie spends nearly all day and night sleeping on the window ledge on the front porch. He really really wants to go outside but I'm too afraid he will get hurt.

He has lost more weight but still eats the treats and will drink a little half-and-half a couple of times a day. He doesn't complain. He really likes to be picked up and held over my shoulder.  Occasionally he favors his front right leg/foot but he gets around fine.

I don't want him to be picked and prodded by a vet. Or force-fed and such. He doesn't seem to be in real pain and his sister, Uno, watches out for him.

My handsome Frankie

Look at my handsome boy. He's enjoying the front porch now that daddy put the screens in.

And an update on his health. He continues to lose weight but doesn't show any signs of illness. Last week he was down to 7.4 pounds. He pretty much just eats some treats and a little bit of heavy cream.

He loves being picked up and carried around on my shoulder.

Frankie's 15th birthday

Today, Sunday, is Frankie's 15th birthday. I threw a surprise party for him on Saturday. Many thanks to my friends who came to celebrate Frankie's big day.

He absolutely loved the attention. He even sat in a chair in the dining room so people could wish him a 'happy birthday'. Amy made a special cake just for him and he loved it. He also got several very cute cards.

A new box

We got a new cardboard box! It is a pretty big one. Frankie is able to jump into it while Uno couldn't so she just grabbed the edge,  tipped it over and walked right in. It was so funny watching her quickly figure out a simple solution to her dilemma.

Frankie still gets to enjoy the box by being on top while his sister is cozy inside.

New eyewear

A beautiful day in Minnesota. Took Frankie outside for some fresh air and sun. He isn't allowed outdoors on his own anymore.

With my friend Kelly's assistance and my tax refund, I purchased a new pair of Anne & Valentin eyeglasses at Specs Optical.

My assistant has taken over

I took a break and my assistant took over. He is about as productive as I am.

Crazy cat lady (and I am not referring to me)

This year's Christmas gift from Mom is these Christmas cat decorations. For those of you that know Frankie and Uno, you will recognize which is which.

So adorable but I think Frankie and Uno's grandma is the crazy cat lady without a cat. Ha!
