We missed the Trail of Terror last year but not this time. The haunted hay ride has been replaced by a haunted walk in the wood... and it was.
Christine, Kay, Jan and I screamed and laughed until we sweated. It was an absolutely beautiful night.
The haunted maze and trailers were also so much fun. It was good to let out the energy.
Trish and I kept with the black and white theme for this year's Monster Dash. Trish was Sleeping Beauty and I was Malefecent (a la Angelina Jolie).
We met up with a friend of Trish's that was dressed as Flames. Trish gave her the name Smoldering Tinders.
There are still flowers blooming in the backyard. These little daisy like flowers are glorious in the afternoon sun.
Planning on canning applesauce tonight. Still have tons of apples. Finally picked the last couple of buckets off the tree. The squirrels were feasting.

Trail of Terror
That time of year...a beautiful Fall night...a hay ride...and a haunted maze.
Christine, Kay and I were joined by Jan this year on our Trail of Terror outing in Shakopee. We started with the haunted hay ride. It was a beautiful night last night...clear and cool.
We then did one of the side hauntings, got a bit to eat followed by the corn maze.
Then the highlight of the night in the haunted maze. Tons of fun. Scary and funny and scary.
The lines were so short this year we did the hay ride again. An enormous moon was out which just made the ride even more fun.

Trail of Terror -- boo!
Christine, Kay and I made our annual trek to Shakopee for the "Trail of Terror" fun and scariness last Saturday...the night before Halloween.
It was a great night for a hay ride and scare. We had a couple of small girls in front of us on the hay ride and they were genuinely frightened by the ghouls and goblins...lots of goblins.
This year's fright maze was particularly good. Kay lead the way as we traveled through the long and very dark passageways. Several frights had us all screaming but Kay took the prize when this very small clown had her flailing her arms and stamping her feet. I laughed and laughed until a tall clown scared the you-know-what out of me.
Way, way fun!
