Twins game....so close we could talk to the players

Front row! Yep. Rose got tickets from her work provided by US Bank and we were in the front row next to the Twins dugout right at first base. Trish from the Guthrie was also there.

There was a family of five next to us. Husband, wife and 3 little girls. The dad was holding little baby and all of the sudden she had my beer and was going for a drink. Too funny. Joe Mauer tossed a ball to each of the older girls for souvenirs and the two EMTs at field level gave the girls special stickers.

We all had a blast. And the Twins actually won!

The white thing in the middle is the actual first base waiting to be put in place.

Fifteen's 5k

Another fun run with Running For Brunch. The Fifteen is for the Twins' closing pitcher Kyle Gibson. He lends his number to a cause his wife chooses.

We completed the event with a baseball game at Target Field. And the Twins win!

Twins game - great seats

Jenny got fantastic seats from her work. She, Andrew and I were only two rows from the field - third base line.

Miss Walleye was in the lead but lost in the stretch... so did the Twins

Twins game

Christine got some really good seats to tonight's Twins game against the Houston Astros. Christine had gotten them from a co-worker. We were just left of home plate behind the visiting team dugout. The Twins lost but we had a pretty good time.

Twins 15 5k

This month's Running For Brunch 5k was the Twins 15 5K.  The "15" is Glen Perkins' jersey number. He is the Twins closing pitcher and sponsors this 5k to support research on cystic fibrosis.

It was a beautiful day as you can see from this pictures.  We all had on Twins' gear and got to run onto the track on Target Field.  Many of the players then handed out the medals in Target Field Plaza.

A very unexpected weekend

The WINNER and her guest
Christine won a free trip to the Minnesota Twins spring training camp in Ft. Myers, Florida!  A free trip!  Airfare, transfers, hotel and game tickets...all...FREE!!!

And she invited me!!!

Jeff, Sandi, Jason, Cora, Joe, Christine (Gang of Six)
The best part of the trip was meeting Sandi, Jason, Cora and Joe. We were an inseparable group....literally.

I honestly believe I have never had so much beer in my life.

Hammond Stadium
The Twins play in a beautiful outdoor ballfield, Hammond Stadium. SunCountry Vacations got great seats behind home plate for the group of about 60 to watch the game.

at the game

Joe Schmidt, Sandi, Bill Smith, Chris
Friday night 1500AM ESPN hosted a live radio show at the hotel. Joe Schmidt from KSTP was the celebrity host for the weekend. Bill Smith, the Twins General Manager, was a guest on the show and stayed to talk and have fun.
Joe Mauer's brother, Jake, was also there.

Saturday was a free day.  I rented a mini-van from Enterprise and the Gang of Six headed north of Ft. Myers to visit an eco-tour/farm.

Michelle our guide had a great deadpan delivery, a wandering eye that could see alligators everywhere, and a lot of Florida eco-knowledge.
