That feeling that you've forgotten something

I got almost all the way to my rental car this morning before it dawned on me that I didn't have my suitcase.

I packed it this morning in the hotel room when I got back from the gym. I went up to the 25th floor Executive lounge for breakfast. Chatted with Donna as usual. There was an accident on the freeway near the hotel that you could see clearly from the 25th floor.

The weather is bad this morning and supposed to get a lot worse. I was thinking about my flight and whether it was going to get canceled. Also, thinking about work stuff. All the while I had this inkling that I was forgetting something.

Got my banana and yogurt for my mid-morning. Got my coffee. Dropped off the key card on Donna's desk in the lounge. Got on the elevator. Out the rotating lobby doors. Across to the parking lot. Bingo! No roller-board suitcase!
